100% pass rate
That’s right folks, we have a 100% pass rate so far in this PHR/SPHR test window. Okay, so it’s based on one person. But she passed! Terri, our business manager here at HRCP, took the PHR exam today and passed with flying colors. (Actually she won’t know her specific score for several weeks, but in my book, any passing score is flying colors.) Not that there was ever any doubt that she would pass. Anyone who works as hard at it as she has deserves to pass.
Congratulations, Terri!
We’ll get those new business cards ordered.
P.S. I always knew you were certifiable.

I hate to bring the pass rate down to 50% but sadly I have no alternative. I took the SPHR exam today and failed it. The exam was completely unrelated to the material I had prepared for. I used the SPHR exam prep (by Larry Phillips). In the first 10 mins I just knew it wasnt anything I had prepared for. I was totally calm, and expected to pass the exam till the very end. Alas!, I have failed it. Congrats to all those who make it…

Ah, Poonam Advani, I’m sorry to hear about your exam results. Remember that almost half of those who take the SPHR exam don’t pass. It’s a tough test. If you decide to try again, you’ll know what to expect, and that will help you in your preparation.
I’m going to keep that pass rate at 100%, though. I am collecting data from a very small pool: people from our office who used the HRCP Program to prepare.

Poonam Advani, I’m also sorry to hear that you didn’t pass the SPHR exam. It must be very frustrating to find that your study materials didn’t help prepare you like they should have.
Since I work for HRCP and we are always trying to improve our product, I kept track of those topics on my exam that I couldn’t remember seeing in the HRCP Program. I’m happy to report that my list was very short! I estimate that the topics for 97% of my exam questions were covered in the HRCP Program!
