I have just found your blog via our good friend Google. I have enjoyed reading every (yes, every!) post. I am currently studying to take the PHR for the first time. I'm nervous, but I think that I will do fine. I still have more than 60 days of study time.

Keep up the good work!

Hi,

If you could suggest the names of a few legitimate sources for prep questions that would be great. My email is s.asha@next.jo

:> ) thanks! I have calmed down over the weekend. I have decided that I have a tendency of over reacting and yes feeling like I would go crazy. I was having headaches and everything. My husband said RELAX!!! Thanks, you have been helpful in calming my anxiety over this test.

Hi! Is that you, Lakecia? Yeah, what you want to avoid is information overload. It is okay to use multiple sources; they can often compliment each other. You just need to focus your study on a manageable amount of information. Don't try to learn every single tiny detail of HR, or you'll end up certifiable instead of certified.

Stephanie, you could check with your local SHRM chapter; they often organize study groups. And there are a number of online study groups. Take a look at http://www.hrcertification.info for one example.

For those looking for an instructor-led prep course, here is a list of groups that use the HRCP materials: http://www.hrcp.com/?pg=studygroups

do you know of any independant PHR study groups I could join. I have all the SHRM modules since I finished their group in Dec 2008. Plan on taking may-june 2008 PHR exam.
